Amlou (Moroccan Nut & Honey Butter)
Amlou is a wonderful Moroccan spread, consisting of argan oil (food grade), almonds and honey. Amlou is a great alternative spread or dip if you’re looking for something different. Makes approx 400 ml.
- Food processor
- 250 gm roasted unpeeled almonds.
- 80 ml argan oil be sure you use food grade oil
- 80 ml AB's Ironbark Honey
- 1/2 tspn flaky salt, such as maldon
- Generous sprinkle of cinnamon, optional
- Grind the roasted almonds in a food processor until finely ground and transfer in a
medium sized bowl.
- Gradually add the oil to the ground almonds and stir until smooth. Then gradually
add the honey and combine all the ingredients until smooth. Season with salt and
