Savor the sweet-spicy delight of authentic Australian ginger melded with our premium 100% Australian Yellow Box honey.

This irresistible fusion, crafted by the esteemed AB’s Honey, is perfect for savoring straight from the spoon, enhancing recipes, or blending into smoothies. A true testament to Australia’s finest beekeeping tradition.

Australian Honey Infused with Ginger

We've carefully blended 100% Australian Ginger from Queensland's Sunshine Coast with 100% pure raw Yellow Box Honey from Australia's New England Tablelands to create this gourmet delight.

Ginger in Honey is for connoisseurs and for those seeking products straight from mother nature. AB's Ginger in Honey is 100% pure Australian Ginger and 100% pure Australian Honey. The combination is one that is easy to consume and is great for digestion. It has the added benefits of being an antioxidant, and studies have also suggested that the combination is good for cardiac health, too.

Flavour and Texture

The complimentary flavours are perfectly balanced, with soft chunks of ginger densely suspended throughout the honey, creating a tantalising texture.

For a flavour sensation, the ginger spices up the honey and the honey tempers the ginger's sharp bite. This means it is ready to go straight into your cooking or be dissolved into a soothing drink.

It's sweet, spicy, and delicious!

Ginger Honey Uses

Our 100% pure Australian Ginger in Honey is a great ingredient in cooking, adding that extra sweet-spicy flavour to both sweet and savoury dishes. It is perfect to add to a summer salad dressing, a stir-fry sauce, or for glazing salmon. Using Ginger Honey in a hot toddy is also very popular.

Storage Instructions

Best Before Date:
The 'best before' date on our packaging is a legal requirement. However, when stored correctly in an airtight, food-grade container, honey can last for thousands of years just like the honey found in ancient pyramids that is still edible today.

Crystallization:
It is normal for real honey to crystallize over time. This is a sign of its purity. To return your honey to its liquid state, simply place the sealed jar in a bowl of warm water until the crystals dissolve. We do not recommend using a microwave, as high heat can destroy the honey's natural enzymes and antioxidants.

Storage:
For optimal freshness, store your honey in a cool, dark place like your pantry. Storing it in the fridge can accelerate the natural crystallization process. Our honey is not pasteurized, which means it retains all of its beneficial properties, unlike many supermarket honeies that are heated to prevent crystallization.

We offer free domestic shipping on all orders over $75 (excluding those containing beeswax).

Please note that due to strict quarantine laws, we are unable to ship our products to Western Australia, Northern Territory, Norfolk Island, and Kangaroo Island. We also do not offer international shipping at this time.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is your honey organic ?

Our honey is 100% pure, natural Australian honey with nothing added. It is sourced from ethical and responsible Australian Beekeepers, with hives sited in Australia’s bush, forests, hinterlands, and coastal regions.

Bees can forage up to 5km from their hives in search of the best nectar for their honey. Although our honey is not certified organic, it is as pure, raw, and free from environmental contamination as can be.

Is your honey pasteurised ?

No. AB’s Honey is 100% pure and raw. It is only gently filtered to remove any hive debris, such as wax and flower particles.

Pasteurisation requires heating the honey to high temperatures. This can remove much of the natural goodness. If required, our honey is only ever gently warmed to the temperature of a summer’s day to allow it to flow smoothly into jars and bottles.

When will I recieve my delivery ?

We dispatch orders received by 12pm Queensland time on the same business day. Orders received after this time will be dispatched the next available business day. Our preferred delivery service providers are Australia Post and Aramex Couriers. If you have a preference for Australia Post or Aramex, please let us know in the notes section of the checkout and we will endeavour to accommodate.

Once your order leaves our premises, it is in the hands of the delivery service. Depending upon where you are located, you can expect your parcel to arrive within 2 to 3 business days, or within seven working days to regional areas. During busy periods like Christmas or in times of high demand on the courier/postal services, delays in delivery can occur. Natural disasters, for example flooding or bushfires, may cause delays that are out of our or the couriers’ control.

If you are in a hurry to receive your honey or bee product, we also offer an Express Post delivery service. Please refer to the postage question above for further Express Post information.

How should I store my honey ?

If you have bought real honey from us then the best place to store your honey is in your pantry. Keeping real honey in the fridge can accelerate the process of crystallisation, which you may or may not want.

Australian Beekeeper’s Honey does not undergo any pasteurisation treatment, unlike many of the honey products available at the supermarket. Pasteurisation of honey occurs when honey is heated to a really high temperature. Pasteurised honey doesn’t crystalise in cooler climates or in the fridge but unfortunately pasteurisation also destroys the antioxidants in honey and reduces the honey enzymes.
