TEA TREE HONEY

A bold, full-bodied honey from Australia’s coast; rich with floral intensity.

Savor the essence of the coast with our medium-dark amber Tea Tree Honey, bursting with robust flavor.

This classic Australian honey is perfect for sweetening drinks or dishes, or as a delectable topping for cereal, ice cream, or toast.

375g jars are glass and have their lids taped for safe transportation. When buying products in glass jars, our team will carefully seal your honey jar lids with tape and package accordingly before they leave our warehouse. Unfortunately, we cannot prevent leakages caused during transit time and as such, we cannot replace or provide a refund for these items. We appreciate your understanding.

Australian Tea Tree Honey

Tea Tree Honey is produced by bees foraging the flowers of Australian native tea trees. The raw tea tree honey we sell at Simply Honey is sourced from Australian Beekeepers whose hives are in the tea tree forests of northern NSW and southern QLD.

Flavour and Texture

Tea Tree Honey has an enticing caramel aroma, and a caramel smoothness on the tongue to match. Its strong rich flavour makes it great for use in cooking (check out our recipes here).

The flavour has a slightly medicinal aftertaste and this honey is one that you will either love instantly... or keep in the medicine cabinet!

AB's Ginger, Lemon and Tea Tree Honey CakeWays to enjoy Tea Tree Honey

Tea tree honey is a popular choice for soothing sore throats and aiding digestion. Take directly from the spoon or dissolve in warm water with lemon juice.

Storage Instructions

Best Before Date:
The 'best before' date on our packaging is a legal requirement. However, when stored correctly in an airtight, food-grade container, honey can last for thousands of years just like the honey found in ancient pyramids that is still edible today.

Crystallization:
It is normal for real honey to crystallize over time. This is a sign of its purity. To return your honey to its liquid state, simply place the sealed jar in a bowl of warm water until the crystals dissolve. We do not recommend using a microwave, as high heat can destroy the honey's natural enzymes and antioxidants.

Storage:
For optimal freshness, store your honey in a cool, dark place like your pantry. Storing it in the fridge can accelerate the natural crystallization process. Our honey is not pasteurized, which means it retains all of its beneficial properties, unlike many supermarket honeies that are heated to prevent crystallization.

Our Heritage

SimplyHoney is a legacy built on a deep respect for nature and a commitment to purity.

For over 30 years, our family-owned business has been dedicated to crafting 100% pure, natural Australian honey.

From our humble beginnings near Brisbane, we have upheld the highest standards of beekeeping, ensuring every jar of honey is a testament to quality and tradition.

We believe in letting nature do the work, from the bees foraging in the pristine Australian bush to the minimal processing we use to preserve the honey's natural goodness.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is your honey organic ?

Our honey is 100% pure, natural Australian honey with nothing added. It is sourced from ethical and responsible Australian Beekeepers, with hives sited in Australia’s bush, forests, hinterlands, and coastal regions.

Bees can forage up to 5km from their hives in search of the best nectar for their honey. Although our honey is not certified organic, it is as pure, raw, and free from environmental contamination as can be.

Is your honey pasteurised ?

No. AB’s Honey is 100% pure and raw. It is only gently filtered to remove any hive debris, such as wax and flower particles.

Pasteurisation requires heating the honey to high temperatures. This can remove much of the natural goodness. If required, our honey is only ever gently warmed to the temperature of a summer’s day to allow it to flow smoothly into jars and bottles.

When will I recieve my delivery ?

We dispatch orders received by 12pm Queensland time on the same business day. Orders received after this time will be dispatched the next available business day. Our preferred delivery service providers are Australia Post and Aramex Couriers. If you have a preference for Australia Post or Aramex, please let us know in the notes section of the checkout and we will endeavour to accommodate.

Once your order leaves our premises, it is in the hands of the delivery service. Depending upon where you are located, you can expect your parcel to arrive within 2 to 3 business days, or within seven working days to regional areas. During busy periods like Christmas or in times of high demand on the courier/postal services, delays in delivery can occur. Natural disasters, for example flooding or bushfires, may cause delays that are out of our or the couriers’ control.

If you are in a hurry to receive your honey or bee product, we also offer an Express Post delivery service. Please refer to the postage question above for further Express Post information.

How should I store my honey ?

If you have bought real honey from us then the best place to store your honey is in your pantry. Keeping real honey in the fridge can accelerate the process of crystallisation, which you may or may not want.

Australian Beekeeper’s Honey does not undergo any pasteurisation treatment, unlike many of the honey products available at the supermarket. Pasteurisation of honey occurs when honey is heated to a really high temperature. Pasteurised honey doesn’t crystalise in cooler climates or in the fridge but unfortunately pasteurisation also destroys the antioxidants in honey and reduces the honey enzymes.
