AB's Honey BBQ Beef Brisket
Low and slow is the key for this melt-in-the-mouth tasty brisket. Enjoy with salad or your favourite vegetables.

- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 - 2 kg piece beef brisket
- 2 2/3 cups beef stock
- 1/3 cup dark brown sugar
- 410 grams canned tomato puree
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp wholegrain mustard
- 2 tbsp Ironbark Honey
- 3 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp dried thyme
- 3 garlic cloves crushed
Instructions

Preheat oven to 160°C fan-forced, or prepare your BBQ for a slow cook.

Combine stock, sugar, tomato puree, sauce, mustard, AB's Ironbark Honey, onion powder, dried thyme, crushed garlic in a large jug.

Season beef with salt and pepper.

Heat oil in a large, heavy-based flameproof casserole dish over medium heat and add brisket. Cook each side for 5 minutes.

Add stock mixture to pan and bring to simmer.

IF using oven transfer the dish to the oven. If using BBQ transfer to suitable dish (eg foil BBQ tray) and cook for 3 hours, turning the beef half-way through cooking.

Cook to your preference, allow brisket to rest wrapped in foil before carving.
