AB's Honey Chicken with Honey Moroccan Chilli Recipe

AB's Honey Moroccan Chilli and Honey Chicken

The honey, lemon and chilli give the dish a wonderful spicy flavour

Ingredients

  • 8 chicken thighs (skinless)
  • 1 large onion (diced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (crushed)
  • 4 tbsp Rainforest Honey
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 lemon (half for juice, half cut into thin slices)
  • 2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 110 grams dried apricots (diced)
  • 1 fresh chilli (diced) add more whole for a hotter dish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 180 degrees ℃
  • Place chicken thighs and onion into a lightly oiled casserole dish
  • Combine honey, lemon juice, turmeric, paprika, garlic, chilli and pour over chicken
  • Add diced apricot, lemon slices and cinnamon sticks. Add extra whole chilli for a hotter dish
  • Cook for 1 hour or until chicken is cooked thoroughly
  • Remove cinnamon sticks before serving with couscous or rice
